Uppsala at Expo 2010

Uppsala attended Expo 2010 in Shanghai, China, on June 10th-12th. The Expo serve as a platform to develop long lasting relations between China and Sweden and gave an opportunity for Uppsala to promote the city as a test bed for technology supporting sustainable development.

Uppsala supported the theme for the Swedish Pavilion – Spirit of Innovation, and also made a substantial contribution to the overall theme for Expo 2010 – Better City, Better Life.

The Uppsala delegation worked to facilitate and create business opportunities and cultural exchange between China and Uppsala and promoted successful cooperation projects for sustainable city/regional development and new technology within the energy and environmental field.
